Mohamed Salah Issues Regret to Squad, Says Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the group of players after the controversy from his televised remarks.
The Incident
Salah was left out from a vital match following voicing frustrations and claiming his rapport with Arne Slot had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “His apology was clear and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, I'm sorry.’”
The manager has chosen not to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the 33-year-old forward.

He emphasized that the squad's reaction stayed normal. “He was his usual self, he had a big smile on his face and everybody was exactly the same with him,” Jones added.
Jones also suggested that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “But if a lad’s fine to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Team Form
The team's performance have been impressive in the games following the initial controversy. He feels the forward's comments were never meant to harm the team.
“If passion has boiled over, it has consistently come from a place of caring,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re gelling well as a team, performing and securing victories.”
